According to Art. 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Personal Data", a personal data holder is entitled:

1. to know the whereabouts of personal data file, which contains his personal information, its purpose and name, location and / or place of residence (stay) of the owner or manager of this database or to give appropriate instructions on obtaining this information by the holder-authorised people, except as required by law;
2. to obtain information on the conditions for granting access to personal data, in particular, the information about the third parties to whom their personal data, contained in the relevant database of personal data, is handed over;
3. to access their personal data, contained in the relevant database of personal data;
4. to receive at least within thirty calendar days following the inquiry date, except as provided by law, the answer about whether their personal data is stored in the appropriate personal information database, as well as to receive the contents of his personal data stored;
5. to submit a reasoned request to present an objection to the processing of their personal data by public authorities, local authorities in exercising their powers, as stipulated by the law;
6. to submit a reasoned request to alter or destroy their personal data to any owner and manager of the related database if the data is processed illegally or is unreliable;
7. to protect their personal data against unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction, damage due to deliberate concealment, failure or untimely delivery thereof, as well as its protection from disclosing the information that is inaccurate or disgracing to the honour, dignity and business reputation of an individual;
8. to turn on the protection of their rights regarding personal data to government authorities, local authorities, whose powers include implementation of protection of personal data;
9. to apply legal remedies for violations of the legislation on protection of personal data.
