Training game with Konyaspor: players’ view

After a meeting with a representative of the Turkish Super League players, "Miner" shared their impressions.

Serhiy Kryvtsov, Shakhtar defender:

- We have changed the climate to come to a hot country, so it took time to adapt. It's great we played with Konyaspor straight away. They are good, skilled team. The side consist of tall players, who are difficult to play with at set pieces! In this case, it is important to predict the area where the ball will fly towards. Today I did it: I ran to the near post to send the ball into the corner of the net after a great pass from Bernard. In general, Mister said the team played well.

Wellington Nem, Shakhtar’s midfielder:

- Konyaspor are a strong team, who are sitting in fourth place of quite strong Turkish league. Today, we have proved ourselves well, showed a good game. I am glad that I have finally returned to action. I am sure that if I continue in the same spirit, the team and I will be able to achieve good results. I have been training in general group for three days. I think I need a couple more weeks to gain the optimum shape.

Oleksandr Zubkov, Shakhtar’s midfielder:

- I am glad that today I scored. In that episode there was a cross from the flank, Oleksandr Gladkyy challenged for the ball, and it bounced to me, I seized on the opportunity. Mister praised me. By and large, now there is no nervousness that I had in the first matches. The opponents represent a good  level. At first it seemed that the Turks were a bit too cautious, but then they played decent passing game. In general, I start to understand what is required of me, I feel teammates better. I think I will make progress in this regard.
