Rinat Akhmetov has played for the children

Today, on December 19, at the main children's holiday - the Day of Saint Nicholas, the President of Shakhtar Rinat Akhmetov and his friend, composer Igor Krutoy, traditionally visited the kids. The current charity event is a jubilee! For the tenth consecutive year, famous guests attend boarding schools, orphanages and other institutions. The the first place they went to today was Dokuchaevsk’s family-type home. Here lives the Hominets family...

The house smelled of the morning celebration. On a table there was fresh-faced pie with apples and tangerine aroma flying through the air and obviously a luxurious Christmas-tree that added magic touch to this day. What else was missing? Of course, the guests!
Ella Hominets, mother of the family, bustling about the house, had time to share her impressions with journalists:

- We look forward to Rinat Akhmetov and Igor Krutoy not only as honored guests but as well as people who have helped us in difficult times. These people are always ready to solve children’s problems. All that you see now - the house, all that is inside is a gift from the Foundation for Development of Ukraine. This organization helps us to solve virtually any question; we can always contact them for any reason and be sure that they will help us.

Ella and her husband Sasha have eight children all of whom were looking forward to the guests’ arrival. Whiling away time they communicated with the media and gladly decorated glossy magazines with pictures.

- Rinat Leonidovich! Igor Yakovlevich! - Kids rushed excitedly to the front door to meet long-awaited guests. And then they began to show them their rooms. Sveta, the first foster child in the family, immediately performed on the horizontal bar and gymnastic rings a series of acrobatic stunts that caused a great delight among the audience:

- We are not capable of repeating that - noticed Rinat Akhmetov.

Then the guests have settled into a comfortable and spacious living-room where Ella Hominets told the audience the touching story of her large and happy family.

- What happened to us was a real miracle! We had two wonderful grown-up sons, but my husband and I also always wanted to have a daughter. So, that is how Sveta became the part of our family. Three months later we adopted Dasha. When I recall that moment, it still brings tears to my eyes. This little girl was crying incessantly. And when she was asked why, she replied that she was waiting for her mother. Dasha then often said to me: Thanks, Mom, for taking me with you! Once she said: The child has the right to live in his family! Then Dima appeared. Because, you see, no matter how good an orphan’s home is, the child will always be better in his family! We could not adopt more children because according to the norms we could not provide them with adequate housing. That was the time when the most magic miracle happened. We participated in the contest organized by Rinat Akhmetov’s foundation for Development of Ukraine and won this house. It allowed us to adopt Vika, Katya and Yura. Although each of our children, according to the norms, should know their roots - their biological parents, but now they consider themselves as the Hominets.

- Thank you for your kind heart. You have a wonderful family! You are good people, and you have very good kids, they face a great future! When you told the story, then we, too, in some moments with difficulties restrained our tears, - Rinat Akhmetov thanked the hostess for the warm welcome.

Children started singing a traditional Ukraine folk song popular on this Day.

And then there was the gifts’ time! Rinat Akhmetov and Igor Krutoy presented a gift to each family member. The famous composer took over musical duties and performed Shakhtar’s anthem on synthesizer. Rinat Akhmetov has not lagged behind the friend, and soon after played imperishable creation of Soviet times, "Moscow Nights."

- One of the most talented of my students! - Said Igor Krutoy.

After providing great minutes of warmth and kindness our guests said goodbye to the Hominets family and went on. However, promised to return soon. With an overnight stay!
