Shakhtar outclass Dynamo

On September 23, Shakhtar faced Dynamo in the last 32 of the Ukrainian Cup.

4 minutes. Shakhtar’s corner-kick almost resulted in a goal against Dynamo. Fernandinho saw his header hitting the post following a Kucher header!

5 minutes. Dynamo responded with a decent shot by Ideye. The ball flew just wide of the target.

8 minutes. Luiz Adriano raced down the right flank before delivering a cross into the opposition penalty box. Shovkovskiy cleared the danger.

11 minutes. Khacheridi cleared the ball away for a corner following a Mkhitaryan cross to Adriano.

15 minutes. Willian passed to Fernandinho who fired the ball wide of the mark.

19 minutes. Raffael fed Ideye but his further movement was stopped by Vyacheslav Shevchuk.

22 minutes. Goal – 1:0! The Pitmen perfectly orchestrated an attacking move that resulted in a accurate strike. Willian drilled a cross for Luiz Adriano to open the scoring.

24 minutes. Vyacheslav Shevchuk cut inside from the left flank, only to send the ball just wide of the post.

27 minutes. Goal – 1:1! Dynamo managed to net an equalizer quite quickly. Ideye darted into the box, only to be blocked by the Pitmen’s defenders, but Taiwo was there to capitalize on the loose ball to fire the ball into the corner.

32 minutes. Shevchuk and Bogdanov collided not far from the middle of the park. After receiving medical help, both players returned onto the pitch.

38 minutes. Andriy Yarmolenko was awarded a yellow card for taking a shot after the whistle.

40 minutes. Goal – 2:1! Taras Stepanenko played an excellent pass to Alex Teixeira who raced past Betao to  put the ball into the back of the net!

44 minutes. Shovkovskiy saved a Mkhitaryan shot.

48 minutes. Khacheridi was shown a yellow card for elbowing Luiz Adriano.

52 minutes. Pyatov made a confident save after Bogdanov’s long range effort.

55 minutes. Willian bore down on goal before taking a decent shot. Oleksandr parried the ball away before covering it on the goal line!

68 minutes. Oleksandr Kucher blocked an Ideye shot from point blank range!

70 minutes. Vukojevic and Luiz Adriano were booked by the referee.

72 minutes. Luiz Adriano was replaced by Marko Devic.

76 minutes. Goal – 3:1! Srna passed the ball to Fernandinho who expertly skipped past Khacheridi and Gusev before firing the ball into top left corner of the net.

77 minutes. Ilsinho came on for Willian.

80 minutes. Alex Teixeira was replaced by Eduardo.

84 minutes. Goal – 4:1! Darijo Srna scored Shakhtar’s fourth goal from a free-kick with his trademark shot. Brilliant!

87 minutes. Taras Stepanenko received a yellow card for a foul on Admir Mehmedi.

90+3 minutes. Milevskiy was awarded a yellow card.

90+3 minutes. The referee’s final whistle signalled Shakhtar’s win. The Pitmen registered another victory over Dynamo to progress to the last 16 of the Ukrainian Cup.
