Shakhtar defender shared his opinion about the tour of Brazil, spoke about the training process and his daily routine.

- Oleksandr, as a footballer representing the Ukrainian part of the team, could you share your impressions of the tour of Brazil. Change of climate, environment, mentality - everything is different here ...
- Well, of course it's hot, tough conditions for training. Running on the sand at 40 degrees is, of course, unpleasant. We save ourselves in salt water and the ocean. This helps us to recover. So, I think, it's OK, the guys have already adapted to it.

- Do Slavs find training in Brazil more difficult than the Brazilians do? Is it true?
- It’s different for different people. As for me personally - I got used to it, everything is fine.

- Does training in the sand tell?
- Of course it does. As we get a greater load.

- The first part of the training camp is aimed at restoring the physical form. It is important where to run – on the sand or not?
- In the sand is heavier, just like in the snow. But the whole training camp is difficult, we must take it with dignity and perform all the tasks. No matter whether it's the beginning or middle of the training camp. Now we have been undergoing the preparatory process, then the games will kick off, there will be theory classes where the coaches will point out our errors, focusing on what we need to fix and improve physically.

- In Brazil, you have been chased by a crowd of journalists and fans. Does it interfere with your training? Or maybe it even spurs you up?
- No, it doesn’t interfere with our training. Here, the just treat our Brazilian guys in a special way, people know and like them. I think it just keeps my teammates going, because training sessions are attended by lots of fans. It certainly adds additional incentive in the preparatory process.

- If you compare the Brazilian training camp with, say, the Dubai one, where do you feel more comfortable?
- Again, it makes no difference to me where the training camps are held. Most importantly, they should benefit the team.

- Then which of the five upcoming games is the most anticipated for you?
- All these friendlies will be very important for Shakhtar. As I said earlier, our Brazilians will be able to encounter their former teams. Most probably, they will do it with utmost dedication, and every player will try to prove himself. Of course, I want to play against Eduardo. He is our former teammate, who we respect and value very much.

- What is your impression of Zico’s Sports Complex? Did you expect to see it that way?
- It’s the training camp we hold every year. No matter what kind of centre it is. There is a football field - it is necessary to go out and work.
