Sergei Palkin: Contract with Arena Lviv will be signed in next few days

The CEO of FC Shakhtar commented for the BBC Ukraine correspondent the information spread on the Internet by the media stating that the Donetsk club has not reached an agreement to lease Arena Lviv.
 
- Sergei Anatolyevich, is it true that there isn’t any lease agreement available for holding FC Shakhtar games at the Arena Lviv in 2015? If so, what reasons prevented you from signing it?
- We are currently negotiating with the Arena Lviv the signing of the lease agreement. It will happen in the coming days. I do not see any problems in terms of signing the agreement. This is a regular process of negotiations, and I can't understand who escalates the situation and who stands to gain from it. I want to repeat: in the nearest couple of days the contract will be signed.
 
- Is it true that the fee for one match at the Arena Lviv has been raised to 200 thousand hryvnias?
- The fee has been raised, but I am not going to specify the figures as all the terms of this agreement are confidential.
 
- The media say that FC Shakhtar offers to collect the compensation from the other teams (in particular, the national team) for playing games at the Arena Lviv due to the expenses for maintaining the pitch turf in normal condition, which had been covered by the Donetsk club. Is this true?
- Once again: all the contract clauses – that’s confidential information. We are not going to disclose it, especially as the contract has not been signed yet, the negotiations are underway.
 
- If you still do not reach an agreement with the Arena Lviv, what other stadium options are considered by FC Shakhtar - in particular, for the Champions League games and the domestic league ones?
- We will reach an agreement.
