Shakhtar’s captain answered journalists' questions during the tour of Brazil.

- Dario, is Shakhtar’s Brazilian tour a good respite from the cold and political events in Ukraine?
- We have a lot of Brazilians in the team. For the club it is excellent to come here to feel the Brazilian league, play with teams from this country. The first three games versus Baia, Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro were very good. We played with a fantastic team. 20-25 thousand fans attended the matches. We have not achieved great results, because so far we are at the stage of the training process. But I think that Shakhtar’s game and results will gradually improve. And I hope that we will be fully ready for the match with Bayern on February 17.

- Are the Brazilians taking to heart what is happening in Donetsk?
- For example, Adriano has been living in Donetsk for eight years, and he has a lot of emotions in relation to the city. It is much more difficult for him than, for example, for Bernard and Fred, who came later. So if you ask Taison, Adriano, Douglas and Teixeira, they will say that it's hard. Although it is difficult for all of us. We are far from home. But we have a fantastic president who helps people in Donetsk every day. There's now a great war. What can I say ... We are waiting for the day when we can go back home and get back to playing at our stadium with our fans. Again, we will be happy! We are waiting for peace. Now we play games in Lviv at a beautiful stadium, but it cannot be compared to Donbass Arena.

- Do you believe that you can come back in the coming months?
- I really hope so. You know, every morning when we wake up, we surf the Internet to see what events took place in Donetsk. We are waiting for positive news. But the war has been going on for more than 200 days... I was there last time in May. It is hard. But we have to get through it. And in the end we will be happy again at our Donbass Arena.
