Sergei Palkin: Club’s sports infrastructure maintained at good level

FC Shakhtar’s staff spends the 2014-15 season, being scattered in different cities. But most of the employees are located in the hometown, contributing to the work of the Rinat Akhmetov Humanitarian Staff. This area of activities is under special attention from the Shakhtar management.

Recently, the key club facilities in Donetsk have been attended by Sergei Palkin. FC Shakhtar CEO talked to staff, assessed the state of the infrastructure and visited the point of humanitarian aid distribution.

- I am pleased with the organisation of the Humanitarian Centre work. Everything is streamlined and thoroughly planned. Sport infrastructure of the club is maintained at a good level and ready to host the team at any time. The Donbass Arena pitch is kept by club’s experts in almost perfect condition. I would like to thank our staff!  I have very pleasant impressions from visiting a native city of Donetsk - a place with everything the team need: the training base, the stadium, efficient infrastructure and logistics, - says Sergei Palkin.

By the way, in Donetsk, FC Shakhtar Children Academy resumes its work. The parents of young players addressed the club with respective initiatives, simply insisting on holding training sessions.

- We had teams of younger age categories. We are trying to create an outlet for the children, because for young players it is psychologically difficult to sit at home, knowing that they are little players of Shakhtar - said the CEO. - I had a meeting with Yuriy Dudinskiy, who oversees the direction of children's Academy. Of course, some boys had departed, some groups are incomplete. But the training sessions are still held. Children are training on synthetic fields of the Central Stadium Shakhtar.

Gradually, the club resumes sessions under the Let’s Play! project. The schedule of the training is organised in accordance with the operation of Donetsk schools.
