Sculpture of Mircea Lucescu to appear in Donbass Arena park
A decision to install the composition was made on July 29, and is timed to the 70th birthday of FC Shakhtar head coach. On Mircea Lucescu’s birthday, a miniature version of the sculpture has been presented. The full-scale one will be unveiled in the Donbass Arena park after Shakhtar’s return to Donetsk.
The sculpture, which will be made of bronze, will fill the unique atmosphere of the Donbass Arena park with special energy and winning spirit, it will be a bright ornament of the landscape and one of the favourite places for Shakhtar’s fans.
The author of the work is a Ukrainian sculptor, member of the Union of Ukrainian Artists Ihor Glukhenkiy, who is known for a number of projects implemented in Ukraine, USA, Japan, Italy and Turkey.
