The best player and scorer of the best goal in March according to Shakhtar fans, gave an interview to the official website.

- To be honest, I was incredibly happy to learn it. Firstly, I am pleased with myself. But even more I am pleased with the fact that I did the job well and helped the team. I think the coach also appreciated it. Secondly, it is very nice that the fans of Shakhtar perceive me so well. If they picked me, then I haven’t worked for nothing. It was a difficult month. Hopefully, we will no longer have such difficult months as March. We were knocked out of the Champions League, plus our domestic league games were not that good. But we will work on and we believe that in the future we will do much better. Me? I am very happy, thank you!

- The fans voted for your second goal against Olimpik as the best one. Which goal of those you’ve scored do you like the most?
- It is difficult to name the best one of all the goals. On the whole, I am happy with the results: I netted goals which were spectacular enough and I can safely talk about it. But my favourite goal of all time, not only in March – is the Super Cup one against Dynamo. Because of Dynamo! Scoring one against the archrivals is the most pleasant thing.

- Have Dynamo been the archrivals for you since your spell at Metalist or they have become the ones after your move to Shakhtar?
- It so happened since my spell at Metalist. Even back then, the opponents were special for us. They had something to surprise us with on the pitch, they could show something new. And it was important for us not to slip up and make no errors, since Dynamo are a tricky team. Hopefully, at Shakhtar I do it better than back at Metalist.
 
- So at the moment you're more happy with yourself and your performance than while at Metalist? Can you feel your progress?
- It was good at Metalist, to be honest. We had excellent relationship with the teammates, the coach perfectly understood me. But now I play at Shakhtar, and here ... How can I explain it? I fulfil myself more than in the previous team! Metalist and Shakhtar will always remain in my heart.

- It sounds like you're going to leave ...
- No, you didn’t get me right. I mean, I love Shakhtar and will love the club in the future. I'm not going to move anywhere else! Why should I if I progress here?! I love Shakhtar for the fact of my great performance here, while I love Metalist for the people I’ve been missing.

- You won in two categories following the March results. Which one are you more proud of: the best player or the scorer of the best goal?
- It’s impossible to choose, because one results from the other. The fans called my goal the best one, so I'm proud of myself and my team and coach. All this is, of course, thanks to them. The best player title is also very important to me. Therefore, these two titles are indivisible.

- If you had the opportunity to name the scorer of the best goal and the best player in March, who would you name and whose goal would you highlight?
- It is difficult to say, because we have a lot of good players. All of them work and prove themselves. Some players, in my opinion, are currently in top form. For example, Alex Teixeira. He is literally on top of it, doing a great job, so it’s him whom I’d name the best. As for the goal, I’d still pick mine! (Laughs.)
