500th match with Lucescu is coming up

For Shakhtar, the league game with Hoverla, which will take place on 5 Dcember, is a milestone one. It will be the 500th match of the Pitmen under Mircea Lucescu. Meanwhile, we bring you statistics ahead of the 500th game.

Shakhtar’s first match under Mircea Lucescu took place on 22 May 2004. At RSC Olimoiyskiy, the Pitmen claimed a 5-0 win over Karpaty thanks to goals from Razvan Rat, Andriy Vorobey, Ciprian Marica, Zvonimir Vukic and again Andriy Vorobey.
