In an interview to the official website of the Premier League, the Shakhtar goalkeeper shared his expectations ahead of the upcoming match against Dnipro.

- What’s the difference between the two cup games against Dnipro?
- These meetings were not particularly different from each other. In both cases, it was a very difficult game, I would say even tense, it kept everyone in suspense right to the last second.

- How great was the emotional tension and how quickly did they settle, as it extended to small skirmishes on the pitch?
- You know, our meetings with Dnipro are always like that. But that’s emotion. The emotion that subsides after the game, and everything gets fine again immediately. We go home being less agitated, in a normal emotional state.

- Are you happy with the last encounter? What impressed you more – this meeting or, for instance, the 7-3 win in Uzhhorod? Or, maybe, some other major wins in the competition’s spring part?
- I wouldn’t say that something impressed me more or less. Most importantly, we made it further, to the Cup final, and still continue to fight. Because in the situation we’ve found ourselves in, we need to win this trophy.

- Myron Markevych said that Dnipropetrovsk would have a different line-up playing on Saturday. Does it mean that it will be easier for you?
- No, it won’t. All the same, it will be difficult. They will field the players with little match practice, and they will try to show their best and prove a lot to the coach. Even more so as it’s the end of the season. I am sure they will want to show the coach that he could count on them.

- Can we say that after Dynamo have won the league gold, Shakhtar’s priority is the Ukrainian Cup?
- Of course! Of course, we will fight until we win it.

- Can you specify the reason behind Dynamo’s ability to surpass Shakhtar?
- Primarily, it’s not worthwhile to blame anyone, as we are to blame. There is a number of reasons which do or don’t depend on us.

- Shakhtar are close to claiming the second spot. How great is your frustration of not being the champs?
- There is no disappointment as such. That’s football, anything could have happened. But everything done is for the better. And what doesn’t break us, makes us just stronger. Therefore, I sincerely hope that next season we will be stronger and will win many trophies.

- Do you look into the future? Do you have the desire to return the favour? Or you are thinking about the completion of the current season so far?
- No, I don’t. I never guess ahead, I live only for today. This Saturday, we have a game against Dnipro, so I think about it, just as the whole team do, carefully preparing for it. While talking ahead of time is not my cup of tea.

- I guess you already want to have a vacation. Do you have enough strength and patience for the Ukrainian Cup final and for the match of the national team?
- Are you serious about it? What vacation? Honestly, I have enough strength for everything: to finish the league season and to compete for the Cup, plus to play well for the national team.
