Players of the Donetsk team have reflected on the match with the Lviv side.

Alex Teixeira, Shakhtar’s midfielder:                                                                                          

- Of course, I am most pleased that we were able to take second place and get into the Champions League zone. The fact that I have become the top scorer is great, but that's just my trophy, but not the team’s. The season has been very difficult for all of us, we have worked very hard, and the guys have actively helped me, so I want to say thank all my team-mates. Speaking of today's match, it was not very good. I do not understand how we conceded two goals while being up! We prepared for this match, geared up for it, but it turned out how it happened. We do not have good luck: we create so many chances, but we cannot convert them... And it has been the case during the entire season. As for today's atmosphere of the game, I am categorically against such things! It's not great, neither football nor for our game. We try to play, and the fans just make it difficult for us instead of supporting. And it was unpleasant for the guys who were on the other side of the field where the fireworks were thrown to. And dangerous! They may have been hit.                                                                                                                                                    

Serhiy Kryvtsov, Shakhtar’s defender:

- From the first minute we rushed to the attack, creating chances. Naturally, Karpaty tried to operate from the back, so it was impossible to close the opponents down for a long time. But, thank God, we were given a free-kick – and we finally converted our chance. Plus, of course, I wanted to give as many passes to Alex as possible for him to become the top scorer. Because it is the prestige of the entire team. On the eve of the match we said that, if a penalty would be awarded, it must be taken by Alex. Of course, Luiz Adriano could have scored our second goal himself, but he acted like a true teammate, and made a goal assist to Teixeira. Of course, it is a pity that, winning 2:0, we conceded two unnecessary goals. In the first case, a free kick and skill from Karnoza, and the second goals is the result of our error and accuracy of Khudobyak. By and large, the opponents did not have more chances but what they had proved to be enough. And in the closing stages of the match emotion and fatigue had their effect - the last match of the championship. It may also have been the result of the fact that today we failed to win.                                                          

Luiz Adriano, Shakhtar’s forward:                                                                                                                 

- Karpaty had two opportunities - and they have converted them. I think that those two goals were well-deserved. At the same time, we fought until the very end: we tried, but unfortunately failed to score more goals. The thing is that any Ukrainian team, be it Dnipro, or Zorya, or Karpaty are trying to show that they are better than us, and they fight to victory. When they play against other opponents, this does not happen... I would also like to say a few words about Alex Teixeira. We are very pleased that he has now become the top scorer, the whole team congratulated him! This is important not only for him but for the whole of our club.
