Mircea Lucescu: Participation in the tournament is very useful for preparation
Ahead of the start of the LOTTO Lubelskie Cup tournament, there was held a mini-press conference with the head coaches of the clubs participating in the competition. We bring you Mircea Lucescu’s speech.
- Participation in this tournament is very useful for preparation. When I was asked to come here, the first thing I wanted to know was what opponents we would face. When I learned that the competition would feature Monaco and a German team, I immediately said that I would be glad to come here, as this period is important to us. In particular, because we start the season early – on the 14th, we play with Dynamo in the Ukrainian Super Cup. Our players, who were away on international duty, returned quite late, just two days ago. The upcoming matches are excellent preparation; it will allow us to begin the championship in the desired condition, especially in the light of the qualifying match in the Champions League. I have seen the stadium – it is a great venue! Everything is perfect.
