The Pitmen have reflected on a friendly game with the Italian team.

Eduardo, Shakhtar’s forward:

- Any team would have been affected by such a long flight and a long bus trip. But this, of course, is not an excuse. The game was full of physical contacts. Perhaps we were a bit taken aback; we did not expect this from a friendly match. Thank God, there was not a large number of injuries. Only Facundo Ferreyra got a light injury. I think, when Vasyl Kobin scored, there was not offside. Although from the angle where I was, it was hard to see. As for my goal from a penalty spot, more often penalty kicks are taken in our team by Alex Teixeira and Darijo Srna. But this time, I was entrusted to take a spot kick, and I am very happy about it. Although today we failed to get a win, I think that everything will pan out well in the next match.

Ismaily, Shakhtar’s defender:

- It was one of those difficult games that happen. Most often it is difficult to cope with the players who operate on the left flank. At the beginning of today's game it was very hard, and then we managed to hold them back and go in front. But, unfortunately, we failed to convert two chances and lost. We promise to improve for the next game. Today we had a very tough match physically. There was an excess of fouls, so it was difficult to understand what was happening on the field. Vasyl Kobin’s goal ... It is hard to say whether or not there was an offside position, we have to analyse it. When you're on the field, you cannot notice an episode from the right angle. We have to watch that episode again.

Vasyl Kobin, Shakhtar’s defender:

- We were looking for the opponents’ weak area to build our attacks through it. It turned out to be Carpi’s right flank. Accordingly, we were trying to create more on the left. On the opposite side, there was a different situation, so we operated less there. After the break the game was different. As for the goal that was ruled out, there is no big deal: the importance of the match and the result did pressure us. It is hard to say whether there was an offside, we need to see the replay. But if a goal has been counted, it would have been 2-0, and the game would have been wrapped up.
