On 16 November, the Bannikov stadium hosted a friendly game between Shakhtar and Olimpik. You can view both teams’ squads in the match report.

3 minutes. The Pitmen tried to dart into the opposition penalty area on a number of occasions, but Olimpik played confidently in defence.

8 minutes. Hladkyi played a one-two two twice with Wellington, before shooting goalwards – wide.

12 minutes. Lysenko delivered a cross from the right to Drachenko – the latter was ready to shoot goalwards but was denied it by Dentinho.

16 minutes. Wellington curled a cross to the far post from a tight angle, only for Hladkyi to miss the target.

18 minutes. Doroshenko received a pass before taking a shot from outside the penalty area from twenty metres – the ball flew over the crossbar.

25 minutes. Lysenko saw his shot fly just wide of the goal post following a decent cross from Sherif from the right flank.

27 minutes. Ilsinho was awarded the yellow card.

28 minutes. Doroshenko took a shot from the line of the penalty area – wide of the target.

30 minutes. Dentinho was awarded the yellow card for a foul in his own half of the pitch.

32 minutes. Hladkyi received the ball inside the penalty area before unleashing the volley – Litovka made a save.

36 minutes. Wellington skipped past three opponents before drifting to the centre to take a shot – straight into the hands of Olimpik’s goalkeeper.

37 minutes. Ogirya was awarded the yellow card for showing decent.

40 minutes. Emotions erupted. The confrontation of players from both teams was quickly stopped by Mircea Lucescu and Roman Sanjar, as well as match officials. After that, the referee blew the whistle. It was decided to suspend the game.
